YEUNG CHUAN
This practical self defense program is ideal for any age and ability. Yeung Chuan is a multi dimension Chinese martial art that combines both sides of the martial arts, yin and yang, health and self defense, meditation and training forms, theory and application, emotion and logic, focus and fun.
It is a multi faced art, with many layers and levels of learning. Yeung Chuan is based on the principles of excellent structure and blending to develop the idea of effortless power.
Yeung Chuan students develop the ability to move smoothly under pressure. This style stresses adaptability – being able to defend yourself with any part of the body.
Classes are focused on developing co-ordination, speed, balance and an awareness of yourself.
It is named in honor of Master Fook Yeung, who was the teacher of the late Bruce Lee during his time in Seattle.
